I’ve had the great joy of listening to many of John Daltons episodes and they have taught me there are as many ways to make and think about art as they are ways to look at the world; but most importantly, there is always so much kindness and empathy in the way he treats his guests that even in the rare occasion the person didn’t seem interesting at first, as I listen to the conversation and John’s commentaries on their work, I learn to look at them through his eyes and it just serves to confirm that I have never met (or listened to) a person who wasn’t interesting, possessed certain tenderness, quality worth of admiration or had a story worth listening to.
Great podcast to learn how to appreciate art but also how to appreciate people.
Thank you John for the work you do!
Thank you for your kind words Cynthia.
